Lottoland customer won €90m on EuroJackpot game

Online lottery provideer Lottoland has announced its biggest ever payout on the EuroJackpot game following a record €90m, the equivalent £79 million or US $106 million, win by a German player.

A 36-year-old German, named only as Christina, won the jackpot after placing a bet via her mobile. The cleaner had only signed up to Lottoland two weeks before. Her first bet had won her €8.60 two weeks earlier.

Her mother had chosen the five lucky numbers (14, 19, 21, 30, 32) and the two Euro numbers (4 and 7) which secured the €90m top prize, with no player winning the actual EuroJackpot prize which was rolled over.

Although less well-known in Ireland, EuroJackpot is Europe’s second most popular lottery draw and takes place every Friday night in Helsinki, with odds being much better than EuroMillions.
