The Gibraltar operator of online lotteries Lottoland received a license from the Financial Services Commission of Gibraltar (FSC) to create an insurance company. This is the first time in the history of the gambling industry when an operator receives such permission.
The Lottoland branch will be named Fortuna Insurance PPC Limited. The company will provide insurance services for all risks associated with the bookmaker industry.
Lottoland operates in more than 10 regulated markets around the world and has licenses from Gibraltar, the UK, Ireland, Australia. In July, Lottoland made a deal with William Hill’s BC to launch a lottery platform.
