The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has published a notice identifying three websites that are falsely impersonating licensed operators: www.manekicasino.bet, www.dragonaracasino.uk.com, and www.slot-hunter.at. These sites are misleading consumers by suggesting they are authorized or regulated by the MGA under the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Laws of Malta).
The MGA has explicitly denied any connection to these websites and stated that all claims of licensing or regulatory authorization made on these domains are false and misleading. The authority emphasized that these impersonating sites do not provide the necessary consumer protections that come with a legitimate MGA license.
“The MGA is hereby declaring that it has no connection with the above listed URLs and any other website, platform and/or entity impersonating the Authority and/or MGA-licensed operators. Any reference to the MGA and/or gaming licence/s said to be issued by it, as stated on these domains, are false and misleading.”
The MGA reminded consumers to verify the legitimacy of any online gaming platform before using their services. Licensed operators are required to adhere to strict legal requirements to ensure player safety, while unlicensed entities do not offer these protections, posing significant risks to consumers.
