The SBC Summit Malta 2026 wrapped up last week as the largest edition yet, attracting a record 6,000 attendees from 65 countries. The event, held from 28–30 April at the InterContinental Hotel in Malta, showcased a highly commercial audience, with operators and affiliates comprising 65% of the attendees.
Key figures in the industry, including Minister Silvio Schembri and Dr Alex Agius Saliba, attended the summit, reinforcing its status as a critical gathering for policymakers and industry leaders. Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC, expressed pride in the event’s success, stating, “Delivering record attendance while maintaining such strong audience quality is a huge achievement.”
Major operators like Betfred, bet365, Betsson Group, Betway, Casumo, Entain Group, Flutter Entertainment, Kaizen Gaming, Kindred Group, LeoVegas Group, and Videoslots were present, alongside top affiliates such as Better Collective, Catena Media, Gambling.com Group, Gentoo Media, Oddschecker, Raketech, and XLMedia.
The exhibition floor served as a dynamic space for business development, featuring leading suppliers like Alea, BetConstruct, Aurum Solutions, VallettaPay, and Qore, alongside operators such as 1xBet and Betwinner. Attendees highlighted the event’s energy, describing it as “unmatched” with “meetings back-to-back” throughout the three days.
The conference agenda addressed key industry topics, including regulation, market growth, player engagement, and the impact of AI. Notable speakers included Francesco Postiglione (CEO of Casumo), Ivan Filletti (CEO of GamingMalta), Alexandre Tomic (Founder and CEO of Alea), and Sam Brown (CEO of Rootz). The programme combined industry insights with practical workshops, allowing delegates to focus on actionable strategies.
Beyond the business discussions, the summit offered a range of off-site activities, including a golf tournament, boat party, padel tournament, poker tournament, and multiple networking events. Attendees described the experience as “amazing and inspiring,” with many leaving energized and full of new connections.
