The gaming market in Denmark is growing

The Danish gambling regulator Spillemyndigheden announced a quarterly report, according to which there was a 4% increase in industry revenues for the second quarter of 2017 – up to $ 234.2 million. The main reason for this increase is improvement in the indicators of online gambling for the reporting period.

The income of online casinos grew by almost 16% compared to the previous year – up to $ 72.6. These figures also indicate a 10.5 percent increase in revenue compared to Q1 2017. The field of online poker showed a slight decline in annual terms – from $ 5.5 million to $ 5.2 million.

Revenues from land-based casinos in Denmark amounted to $ 15.1 million. From gaming machines received $ 61.3 million, and from the sphere of sports betting – $ 82.8 million.
