The situation with the regulation of casinos in the Indian state of Goa remains uncertain because of strong opposition among politicians. Authorities in the Indian state of Goa announced that over the next three years, floating casinos are planned to be completely removed from the Mandovi River.
The new location of the casino is still unknown. Minister of State Mauvin Godinho stated that this issue will be submitted for general discussion with all participants in the gambling ecosystem of Goa.
Congress Panjima (the capital of Goa) is considering the adoption of new legislation, according to which floating casinos in the state will not exist.
