The Kindred Group’s flagship Unibet brand has secured a multi-year partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles, marking the first casino sponsorship for the National Football League (NFL) franchise.
NFL team will display the operator’s Unibet branding at its Lincoln Financial Field stadium during games, and be displayed in some of the venue’s luxury suites. It will also appear on the team’s website PhiladelphiaEagles.com, and social media channels, and be included in team publications.
However, it’s stipulated that the deal does not include any promotional rights for sports betting, as NFL rules prohibit the advertisement of this type of services at stadiums and during game broadcasts,
“Unibet’s reputation as a global leader in the online gambling space has helped the company establish a strong, emerging footprint in the Philadelphia market,” stated Catherine Carlson, senior vice president of revenue and strategy at the Philadelphia Eagles.
“As we look to grow our footprint in the US, it only made sense to partner with one of the largest, most respected and loved teams in the NFL. The Eagles unmatched fan engagement and relentless innovation in digital space definitely helped to make this partnership a reality,” added Arnas Janickas, head of U.S. marketing at Unibet.
The deal is the latest sports partnership involving Unibet and follows on from the online gambling operator’s September New Jersey debut in which it announced a deal with National Hockey League team the NJ Devils as well as launching its Kambi-powered sportsbook in partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono.Follow us on
