eSports can be included in the Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed the inclusion of e-sports in the program of the Olympic Games. Members of the committee see this as a necessity to attract young viewers and remain relevant for new generations. The program for 2024 will be formed in 2019, therefore only then it will be possible to find out the final decision.

In 2018, e-sports will be included in the program of sports competitions of the Asian Olympic Games in 2022. Games for which the competitions will probably take place: Hearthstone, StarCraft II, Dota 2 and King of Fighters XIV.
