Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group has launched a sports betting app in West Virginia through its existing partnership with licensed casino The Greenbrier.
FanDuel’s West Virginia Sportsbook app shares similarities to the apps launched in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including the use of the IGT PlaySports platform. However, for the first time uses FanDuel’s in-house developed account and wallet technology. The app is available for download via iOS and Android. Wagers can be made via the app anywhere within the state’s borders, and current offerings include football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, tennis and more.
Launched ahead of the college football and NFL season start in September, the sportsbook app also connects to FanDuel’s popular fantasy sports app, allowing customers to use fantasy sports and sportsbook winnings interchangeably.
“We are incredibly excited that this new app is available for download, and the timing couldn’t be better with football season and A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier right around the corner. said We hope sports fans across the state will try out the app and then some visit the amazing FanDuel Sportsbook retail location here at America’s Resort,” said The Greenbrier president Jill Justice, not only the wealthiest person in West Virginia, but also the Governor of state since 2016.
The state expects to see the launch of next mobile betting options in West Virginia before the end of the month. Next possible candidate is Hollywood Casino’s DraftKings sportsbook app or Mountaineer Casino Racetrack’s William Hill sportsbook app.Follow us on
