A couple of weeks after shutting down its sportsbook in Germany, Mr Green ordered UK affiliates to cease casino promotion and stop advertising its casino products. The MRG Group operator sent out this urgent notice mentioning “recent changes in compliance”.
Mr Green said that “UK affiliates must pause all Mr Green UK Casino and Live Casino promotions for the UK immediately”. This includes banners, text links, social media posts and pop-ups – plus all other casino-related marketing materials.
Sports betting promotion though, can continue as normal. In the same statement, the ex-Stockholm exchange-listed brand added: “We have replaced all Casino and Live Casino banners with Sportsbook banners. We kindly ask that if you see any banners of these kinds still on your site, that you let your Account Manager know.
We are working hard to resolve this issue and will be sure to let you know once you are able to promote Mr Green Casinos and Live Casino again.”
