In a sudden and unexpected move the Swedish online gambling company and casino and sportsbook provider Leo Vegas announced that Royal Panda brand is being ceased in the UK.

The Royal Panda website notice to its customers mentions: «We regret to inform you that Royal Panda will no longer be operating in the UK from 31 January 2020. We’ve had a great time entertaining you over the years and wish to thank you very much for choosing to play with us».
Customers from the UK won’t be able to open an account from 10:00 GMT 8 January 2020 and from 09:00 GMT 20 January existing UK-based gamblers won’t be able to make any more deposits or place bets in the Royal Panda platform.
Bets that have already been placed for events that end after 09:00 GMT 31st of January will be canceled and stakes will returned to customers’ accounts.
In the announcement Royal Panda gives specific instructions to UK players in the note released in their website: “Once again, we’d like to thank you for playing with Royal Panda, remind you that you should withdraw your cash as soon as possible, and wish you every success in the future”.
All Royal Panda customers who fail to withdraw their funds before deadline, will be paid through funds that will be released by Leo Vegas. The company will email updates to all players on alternative payment methods if they can’t withdraw their funds through payments on record.
In the case customers can’t be contacted for the next year starting January 31, their deposits will be donated by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission gambling charity BeGambleAware.
